It is with deep regret that we record the demise of Rotarian Peter Booth on 21 May 2010. He was a founder member of the Great Missenden Rotary Club since 1984 and President of the Club during its second year. We will sadly miss him and all his accent on balancing Rotary's ideals of service with fun and fellowship.
Our heartfelt condolences go to all his family members, particularly Patsy.
Peter was a very interesting character and kept us all amused recounting his experiences in the Far East or electrical retailing or his role as a fashion model. He took his role of Sergeant-at-arms in the Club very seriously, and our current incumbent, Steve Gill, usually draws references to the code of conduct as laid out by Peter Booth.
We shouldn't be surprised if Peter is starting a new Rotary Club up there, becoming Sergeant-at-Arms there, and organising annual visits to Henley Regatta for them every year without fail.

Peter Booth was very keen on
sports activities ... took part in Darts, Sponsored Swim, Golf and organised
a coach trip for the school kids in Prestwood Lodge to go to a football match.
Bottom right: Peter is minding our stall at Misbourne Matins School Fete,
selling tickets for a duck race.

Peter, a stickler for ensuring everyone wears a name badge, arranged to get one
for Betty Gill (Stev's mum) as she was a regular visitor to the Club.
